Overview & Highlights

Located at 3121 Appleby Line in Burlington, ON, RUDY offers an exceptional burger experience that has quickly become a local favourite. Specializing in classic smash-style burgers crafted with care, Rudy’s menu shines with a focus on quality ingredients and bold, satisfying flavours. Whether you’re craving a single patty or a hearty double, each burger is built to deliver a crispy-edged, juicy bite that keeps customers coming back for more.

The standout dishes here include the Big Rudy—featuring two perfectly cooked beef patties layered with shredded lettuce, pickles, onions, American cheese, and the signature Rudy sauce sandwiched between a soft, toasted middle bun—and the Rude Dude, a double cheeseburger that balances fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and that same addictive Rudy sauce. For those wanting a lighter option, the Baby Crudy is a delicious single-patty burger dressed with cheese, fried onions, and pickles. Beyond the burgers, the skinny fries are a must-try: thin, golden, hot, and satisfyingly crispy, often praised by visitors as perfectly cooked.

No meal at Rudy is complete without sampling their housemade shakes, crafted with Kawartha ice cream and available in a variety of tempting flavours. For a refreshing twist, the classic Mexican Coke and bottle of iced water round out the drink offerings. End your meal on a sweet note with the indulgent banana pudding—a creamy, sweet delight that guests rave about—or a rich, fudgy brownie that hits the spot for dessert lovers.

The dining atmosphere at Rudy reflects the same thoughtful approach found in its menu. Unlike many fast-food spots, Rudy provides a clean, welcoming space with comfortable seating options that encourage guests to sit down and savour their meals. Customer reviews often highlight the friendly, attentive staff and the efficient service, ensuring a pleasant experience even during busy hours.

What truly sets Rudy apart is its commitment to quality and consistency. The burgers’ crispy edges paired with juicy interiors deliver a depth of flavour that few local burger joints can match. The setting feels inviting and relaxed, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family.

Customers like Natalie E appreciate the well-toasted buns and the careful execution of each dish, while frequent visitors like Sehar A value the fact that Rudy offers halal meat options, catering thoughtfully to diverse dietary preferences. Addel’s praise for the “top tier smash burgers” and Petra’s note on Rudy’s superior seating and service compared to nearby competitors further attest to its rising reputation. Even those who are particular about sides, like Michael Redz Yorke and Jimmy James, find something to enjoy, whether it's the top-notch poutine or the crispy fries.

In summary, RUDY in Burlington isn’t just another burger joint—it’s a destination for those seeking a high-quality, flavour-packed burger experience with personable service and an inviting atmosphere. If you’re in the Appleby area craving a juicy, expertly crafted burger paired with crisp fries and a luscious shake, Rudy deserves a top spot on your list.

First time trying Rudy’s burgers. The single patty burger was good, the patty was crispy around the edges and the bun was soft but nicely toasted on the outside. The skinny fries were cooked perfectly and were hot and crispy. Also tried the banana pudding for the first time which was sweet and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had some tables available to enjoy our meals. Lots of parking available.

It was my 1st time trying Rudy and I've never tried it (or Rosies--the competition down the road), but i came here 1st then went directly to Rosie's... I ended up coming back to Rudy's to clear the awful taste of Rosie's! I ended up coming back again afterwards with my family in the evening (which made it 3x. ..and i drove from milton!) *SIDE NOTE* Their meat is *HALAL* ...and if someone wants to ensure there's no cross contamination, then you request it be halal and they will clean down a flat top and make it with fresh/clean utensils (as explained by Logan - the manager). Which is amazing to hear! There's a small area with a few tables to sit at, which can get busy during peak times of the day like noon and 7pm. The rude boy (double patty) is AMAZING! So simple and delicious! The patty doesn't crumble and isn't deteriorating when it comes to you. The flavours are Fantastic! The chicken sandwich was sublime! So simple; breaded perfectly,; and perfectly cooked and not dry! The brownie banana pudding WAS PHENOMENAL!!! Highly recommend!! This may have been my 1st time trying it ...but it has become a new favorite!! And I will happily drive from milton to come have it (which i did 2 times in a single day and visited 3 times total!) The Staff (Brianna and Logan) were super kind and lovely to talk with! Patient and funny! I appreciate them and their level of service which made the visits that much better!! Lastly, I would also recommend you have it fresh. Not delivery..simply because it wouldn't be the same. I packed some to take home..and though it was good...it wasn't the same.. so would Highly recommend you eat fresh

This place delivers top tier smash burgers every time! The double patty had crispy edges and juicy on the inside, perfect bite each time. Fries were thin and crispy, poutine was great too! The only downside is it’s on the pricier side given the size of the burger. A few tables indoors to sit which was nice! Friendly people working there.

Rudy’s - Appleby Area Though Rudy’s shares a nearly identical menu with Rosie’s—including that same irresistible banana pudding—it delivers a noticeably better dining experience and better service (no 20+ min wait here!). The seating setup is a major upgrade, offering a proper sit-down meal rather than perching at high tables. That alone makes it feel more welcoming. The burgers? A clear step up. The burgers were perfectly crisp and flavourful. While the cheese might technically be processed (jury’s still out), it didn’t taste like it—and that made all the difference. The flavors came together in a way that felt more satisfying and intentional. Fries were good and the banana pudding was just as delish as ever. If you’re choosing between Rudy’s and Rosie’s up the street, Rudy’s takes the win. Same menu, better vibe, and a burger that doesn’t feel compromised.

Poutine was top notch in my opinion the gravy was really tasty... I had the Big Rudy and it was really high quality but was lacking a bit of flavor or sauce maybe. Will definitely try it again!

Tried Rudy in Burlington for the first time and walked away impressed. I ordered the Rude Dude double cheeseburger with a side of fries, and both absolutely hit the spot. The burger was juicy, packed with flavour, and cooked just right. The melted cheese, tomatoes, and Rudy sauce came together perfectly in a soft, toasted bun — classic and satisfying without being overly complicated. The skinny fries were also a pleasant surprise — golden, crispy, and well-seasoned. Sometimes thinner fries can be hit or miss, but these had a great crunch and weren’t greasy at all. Perfect alongside the burger. Service was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do, and the food came out quickly and hot. The restaurant itself has a simple, no-fuss atmosphere that focuses on what matters — good burgers and good vibes. Overall, Rudy delivers a solid burger experience. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to when you’re craving that classic cheeseburger and fries combo done right. I’ll definitely be back to try a milkshake next time. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a casual, tasty bite.

Great tasting smash/chicken burgers, poutine was better than the regular skinny fries, which was too salty, unfortunately. Friendly and accurate service. The place was clean, and the menu is small, just like the seating area. I'd come back for the burgers for sure.
